You can head off on long walks with your dog along peaceful footpaths or go running and cycling to explore the local area. The sea is 20 minutes' drive away (18km). You can also have a picnic by various lakes on the way there.
The house's location provides the ideal base for people looking for an active holiday. The Pyrenees with their nature parks and medieval villages aren't far away, and neither are such coastal towns as Hossegor, Biarritz and even San Sebastian.
If you're coming from the direction of Paris or Bayonne, leave the A10 motorway at the "Magescq" exit (Nr. 11), drive into the centre of town ("centre ville") and turn right towards Herm (D150) at the square by the church in front of the town hall.
Travel along this little road and you'll find the entrance to our plot of land after exactly 2km - it's located in the middle of a curving left-hand bend. There's a small traffic mirror on the other side of the road.
