Other recreational opportunities
You can drive to the green and rough North Side of Madeira when you quickly drive from Prazeres over the mountain to Porto Moniz where you can find the perfect open sea water pools. A quick jump to Seixal is great. You will find a waterfall on the Lava sand beach and green landscapes that will remind you to be in Hawaii. Body Bord Surfing in perfect in Seixal and Porta da Cruz.
Holiday destination
Around Estreito da Calheta you can find many nice small villages. In 5 minutes drive you find Prazeres with a small animal park and good Levada Walks, Jardim to Mar located near the sea with lovely views or the beach and Arco da Calheta. You may also visit the lighthouse in Ponta do Pargo. On the way you cross the nicest flowers all around the streets. Each village has its own specialty. In our villa we have many Madeira Travel Books for you and enjoy to give you our ideas.
Getting there
The Villa 17° West is located in the sunny Western part in Estreito da Calheta, around 45 km from Funchal airport. We will send all guests after the booking a complete photodocumention to find us quickly. You call our nice housekeeper when you start on Funchal airport with your rental car. The house keeper will wait for you in the house and will explain all details. You can contact him during your stay if you should have questions.

Alles war bestens, sehr hochwertige Ausstattung. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Aussicht aufs Meer ist atemberaubend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit die Villa wieder buchen. Danke an Frau Merkel und Jorge, der uns bestens betreut und viele Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Gegend gegeben hat.

Die Ausstattung der Villa war optimal. In der Küche haben wir nichts vermisst. Von der Terasse hat man einen super Blick auf das Meer. Durch die Lage hat man den ganzen Tag Sonne auf der Terrasse. Von der Villa kann man sehr gut Ausflüge machen. Der Kontakt zum Inhaber hätte nicht besser sein können. Wir haben viele gute Tipps bekommen. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe hat ohne Probleme geklappt, obwohl wir 6 Stunden verspätet angekommen sind. Also rundum ein perfekter Aufenthalt.
