Nette Besitzer, sauber und ruhig, obwohl die Hauptstraße nur einen Steinwurf entfernt ist. Ziemlich klein und bescheiden eingerichtet, aber alles, was Sie brauchen, ist da. Gegen eine geringe Gebühr standen Parkplätze auf der Rückseite des eigenen Grundstücks zur Verfügung. Etwas eng, aber für ein normales Auto machbar. Schöne Terrasse zum Entspannen in den letzten Stunden. Informieren Sie sich unbedingt rechtzeitig über die Fahrweise. Normalerweise ist es Touristen nicht gestattet, das Dorf zu betreten, aber die Seitenstraße liegt abseits des Trubels und wird toleriert. Die Eigentümer haben ihr eigenes Weingut/Keller, in dem wir eine Führung erhielten. Die Weinprobe war eine geschmackvolle Party! Auf dem Rückweg brachten wir also einige Kisten Wein mit.

Ein sehr herzlicher Empfang durch Gastgeberin Valerie Horn. Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem Haus aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, teilweise in und auf der alten Festungsmauer gebaut. Es ist lang und schmal, mit einem breiteren Dachboden als Schlafzimmer und eigenem Bad. Durch eine Tür durch die über 1 m dicke Festungsmauer gelangen Sie auf eine Terrasse, auf der Sie entspannen können. Einfach, aber komfortabel und komplett ausgestattet. Und nicht zu vergessen: Alles ist makellos sauber. Das mittelalterliche Riquewihr ist ein Bild direkt aus einem Buch von Anton Pieck. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Restaurants, von einer Pizzeria bis zu einem Michelin-Stern. Auch in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es viel zu sehen und zu erleben. Für uns war es das zweite Jahr, in dem wir eine Woche hier verbrachten. Und es wird sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal sein.
