Holiday destination
The village of Alkersum is situated in the green heart of the island and is one of the oldest villages of the island. Your holiday accommodation is an ideal starting point for walks and hikes, Nordic Walking, jogging and inline-skating as well as long cycling tours through the wide marshland on nearly car-free paths. Enthusiasts for horse-riding will find several riding stables in close proximity. Due to Alkersum´s location close to the other villages of the island, the bathing beach, the sea water wave pool and the 27-hole golfing court of Wyk are easily accessible. As a cultural highlight, the new museum "Kunst der Westküste" invites you for its exhibitions. The museum-café-restaurant "Grethjen´s Guesthouse" with its spacious terrace with lime-trees and garden of roses, offers a suitable frame for eating and relishing.
Getting there
Journey by car: via Flensburg (A7) or Husum (A23) till Dagebüll-port, from there take ferry connections (ca. 45min) to Wyk on Föhr, PKW-reservation recommended
Journey by train: continuous train connections from various bigger train stations to the ferry dock Dagebüll-Mole.
