Together with the vacation home Ursulahof, the vacation home Leuhof forms this authentic Limburg square farm. This particular semi-detached house even belongs to the national monuments of the Netherlands.
The property is located in the Leudal. A place where you can enjoy cycling and hiking. Stream valleys, the monastery, the water mill ... Everything reminds of the rich past of this piece of the Netherlands. In spring you can marvel at the exuberant flowering of, for example, spearweed, wood anemones and dalewort. The higher grounds form a varied natural area with forest, consisting of deciduous and coniferous trees, small moors and dry grasslands. Fields and meadows can also be found.
The fauna is very varied. In addition to foxes and roe deer, badgers and other mustelids are found; a group of wild boars roams the area. Beavers were released in 2002 and seem to be doing well. The follower enthusiast is in for a treat. There are special bird species such as the black woodpecker, green woodpecker, middle spotted woodpecker, goldfinch, great yellow wagtail, sparrowhawk and tree falcon. At the area with steep sandy banks and fish-rich streams you might just spot a kingfisher, which seems to have an ideal habitat here.
The farmstead has a rich history. For example, hanging on the back facade of the Leuhof is a long beam with a pulley that was hung there in the past as a reminder of old times. A special piece of antique on the wall of your temporary home!
