Villa Merula extends over two floors and is ideal for four to six guests. On the ground floor there is a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area and a spacious, comfortable living room with two large sofas, LCD TV and DVD player. There is also a bathroom with shower, foyer and laundry room on the ground floor. The house also features wireless internet (WiFi).
The attractive open staircase leads to the upper floor. Here there are two air-conditioned bedrooms with double beds, each with en suite bathrooms. An open gallery with sofa bed offers additional sleeping room for up to two more people. Both bedrooms and the gallery have a door to the wide terrace by the pool with its breathtaking sea view.
The long, covered terrace with its open grill and breakfast zone also offers a wonderful view of the romantic horizon and the sunset.
The pool terrace with its saltwater pool is ideal for unwinding, relaxing and having a good time.
If you rent the villa during May and October, the private pool in the garden can be heated upon prior notice (additional fee).

Rabac is widely known as the Pearl of the Karner and features countless beaches with crystal clear, pristine sea water. Here you're also able to book excursions by boat e.g. to the island of Cres with the "Blue Grotto," etc.
Villa Merula, with its tastefully laid out 1900 m² garden, is located on the east coast of Istria, only 6 km from the popular resort town of Rabac. A beautiful hiking trail, lined with fragrant vegetation with wonderful sea views and nature at its purest, leads from the villa to Rabac (approx. 1/2 hour). You'll have a great time not only in Rabac itself, but also in the numerous bays, both larger and smaller - they have been awarded the blue flag because of their excellent water quality. Small shops, beautiful homes and guest houses cluster around the small harbour with its fishing and excursion boats. In the summer months, you should take the time to stroll along the promenade.
Labin sits on a hill above Rabac; it is a medieval town where you will find numerous ateliers with an extraordinary artistic vibrancy.
There's a forest path that leads to Labin; the walk takes about 1-1.5 hours. This particular, charming mixture of architecture and culture-historical monuments is very unusual.
On the lively waterfront promenade there are various cafes and beautiful bays with gently sloping pebble beaches. In Podlabin, the new town at the foot of the mountain, you will find all the stores you need, e.g. supermarkets such as Lidl, Plodine, Mercator as well as bakeries, bank, post office, cafes, restaurants as well as municipal facilities.
The most well-known travel guides and journalists continue to enthuse about the peninsula Istria. Istria is still untouched from mass tourism and therefore the perfect choice for those who want a stress-free summer holiday away from the tourist crowds.
Travelling from the west:
after the Požane border crossing at Buzet, continue via Lupoglav and Vozlići to Labin and then in Labin follow the sign for /to Rabac at the roundabout,
- then follow the signs to Ripenda - turn left and keep going straight past the restaurant "Due Fratelli",
- after approx. 2 km, follow the signpost to Mali Kosi, which you'll reach after approx. 3 km.
Coming from Zagreb or Dalmatia, take the motorway until you reach Rijeka, then follow the road along the coast to Plomin, Labin or via the detour route from Rijeka through the tunnel Ucka, Vozlici and Labin.

In case of cancelling or making changes to the booking, the lessor has to be notified immediately.
Cancelling a reservation free of charge is possible up to 12 weeks (84 days) prior to arrival. Already paid deposits will be refunded. If you cancel less than 84 days prior to arrival, we charge the following fees:
83 - 56 days before arrival: 30% of the total rental price
55 - 42 days before arrival: 60% of the total rental price
41 - 28 days before arrival: 80% of the total rental price
cancellations made less than 28 days prior to arrival or in case of a no-show: the full booking price is due.
Cancellation must be made in writing. The cancellation date is deemed to be the day on we receive the written cancellation.
Early departure: If you need to leave before the originally booked date of departure, no refund will be given.
We recommend that our guests take out a travel cancellation insurance.
