The apartment 'Magalita' is located in the extreme north-eastern area of the municipality of Udine in the countryside - yet it is only 3 km from the 'Udine Nord' Motorway exit and only 7 km from Udine city center. It is located at ground level in a former monastery from the 14th century, which was restored by the (South Tyrolean) owners with love and respect for the architectural history of Friuli.
The building includes a 2ha large property with internal parking, 3000 m² of gardens and meadow within the castellated wall. The apartment has a small, screened garden with garden furniture, from which you can reach the rest of the property with pool, lawn and shower without barriers.
In our property are living horses, cats, 1 dog, gooses and in our neighbour's property a peacock, chicken and a pony.

Locted at the foot of the hills you can see the mountains on the border with Slovenia, the 'Colli Orientali del Friuli' with its famous vineyards. Cividale, Gorizia, Trieste are within a 45 minutes drive and a day trip to Venice is always worthwhile. In the immediate neighborhood there are fine dining restaurants (1.5 km,) as well as typical 'trattorie' or 'agriturismi,' where in addition to excellent wines regional dishes are served at an excellent price / performance ratio.
By car: Coming from the north (Tauern motorway): Exit Udine-Nord, keep left after the tollbooth, follow direction Cividale, exit at Udine-Ribis, then turn left until you see a yellow flashing traffic light, there left again at San Bernardo, after the church tower on the right is the house with the apartment. Coming from the west (Verona, Venice), at the junction Trieste-Udine in the direction of Udine, then take the exit Udine-Nord, then as above...
By train: Udine station, then about 7 km by rental car or taxi
By plane: Aeroporto Trieste (TRS) - (with Ryanair, Lufthansa, Volotea etc), then bus transfer or rental car to Udine (about 45 min.
