Holiday destination
Our beautiful holiday house is located in Schönau and sits around 10 minutes' walk down a footpath from Lake Königssee at the foot of mount Watzmann. The market town of Berchtesgaden with its thermal spa, its salt mine, its House of the Mountains ("Haus der Berge") national park information centre, and its historic castle can be reached easily by taking a bus or by hiking along the Königseer Ache river. Mount Jenner is a popular hiking destination in summer and a well-loved ski resort in winter. Mozart's hometown of Salzburg is easy to reach by car in just 30 minutes - go there to immerse yourselves in culture to your hearts' content!
Getting there
By car: Drive along the A8 until Bad Reichenhall, then follow the road signs to Berchtesgaden. When you get there, head towards Schönau am Königssee. Our house is located near to the Schornbad swimming pool in Unterstein.

Wir ( 2 Erw., 2 Kinder 2J.& 15J.) hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Schönau. Das Ferienhaus hat eine traumhafte Lage und ist auch sehr gut ausgestattet. Man hat genügend Platz und kann auch zeit draußen im kleinen Garten verbringen. Das Haus ist sehr detailverliebt und schön eingerichtet, auch eine Waschmaschine befindet sich im Bad. Weiterhin ist das Haus sehr ruhig gelegen und so auch optimal für kleine Kinder. Leider empfand ich das Haus nicht zu 100% für Kleinkinder geeignet ( steile Treppe ohne Schutz, kein Steckdosenschutz)

Das Ferienhaus und seine Lage sind ein Traum. Es ist perfekt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlte uns wirklich an nichts. Fußläufig alles im Ort zu erreichen ( Königssee, Jennerbahn, Bäcker usw..), das Schornbad 10 Minuten entfernt (perfekt für die Kinder). Wanderwege starten direkt von der Haustür aus. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir super entspannen, absolute Ruhe und ungestört. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder und hatten ausreichend Platz. Lieben Dank auch an Herrn Brandner, wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und ein nettes Gespräch war immer mal möglich. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!
