The Vlotbrug is an energy-neutral project without sacrificing comfort. The solar panels that are placed on the roof provide the energy to meet the energy requirement. To heat the water, a heat exchanger is used that uses ambient heat to heat the water.
The house is built in timber frame construction with exclusively wood used that comes from FSC forests. Furthermore, natural materials have been chosen as much as possible.
There is an air exchange system in the home. When the CO2 values become too high, this system comes into effect. This way you are always supplied with healthy air.

By train: Take the train to Alkmaar Central station, from here you can reach us by bus or taxi.
By bus: From Alkmaar Central train station you can take bus 151 towards Sint Maartensvlotbrug or bus 157 towards Tuitjenhorn-Sportlaan. After about 5 minutes get off at bus stop Koedijkervlotbrug, Alkmaar. From here you cross the raft bridge and turn left. After 50 meters you will arrive at the destination.

Let us introduce ourselves: we are Jack and Jantiene Muis. Since 1982 we live in this fantastic place that is already in the family for the fifth generation. We would like to share this with you and meet you. That is why we, together with our daughter Anne, took the initiative in 2019 to build this holiday home.
