Cosy family holiday home suitable for six people near Burgh Haamstede and Renesse. The house is an Austrian gift house after the 1953 flood disaster in Zeeland. The old elements have been adapted to modern times.
Burgh-Haamstede offers plenty of possibilities in the field of relaxation, sport and recreation. You can make lovely cycling- and walking tours through the forestry area of Westenschouwen or the polder landscape. You can rent bicycles at the nearest supermarket De Schuur or at hotel De Torenhoeve.
The large garden offers plenty of privacy and lots of space for your kids to amuse themselves. There is a swing, a climbing frame and a sandbox. Layout
Through the hall you enter the cosily furnished living room, where you will find a sofa, some armchairs, a dining area, cable TV and radio and CD player. The modern kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, filter coffee maker, mixer, toaster, fridge / freezer, combination microwave, orange press and kettle.
There is a small bedroom with a bunk bed and a bedroom with two single beds. The bedrooms with two single beds also have a sink and a wardrobe. The first bathroom is simple and equipped with a shower and toilet. In 2014 a new part was added, here you will find a third bedroom with a double bed and a new bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Furthermore, the house has central heating, washing machine, free internet, cot, high chair and children's pool.
From the living room you can walk into the large (700 m2) enclosed garden. The terrace is equipped with garden furniture and a parasol. In the garden there is a swing, climbing frame and sandbox and there is a storage room with extra garden furniture and outdoor toys. There are two parking spaces.

From Burgh-Haamstede, the whole of Schouwen-Duiveland is actually at your feet. Burgh and Haamstede were once independent villages, but have grown together to form a tourist resort. In the village, you will find the more than 50-metre-high Westerlichttoren lighthouse. Built in 1837, it is one of the largest lighthouses in the Netherlands. Definitely worth a visit! From here, authentic Zierikzee, popular Renesse and historical Bruinisse (also known as the mussel village) are also highly recommended and easy to reach. Prefer a day of culture? Then visit Deltapark Neeltje Jans or the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk; both also very interesting.
