The Lake Maggiore is a fabulous place for watersports and the picturesque islands, both on the Swiss and Italian sides, are definitely worth visiting.
By car from Gotthard or San Bernardino, leave the E35 motorway at Bellinzona Süd and follow directions for Locarno. At the roundabout (see Pizzeria Pergola on the left) drive in the direction of Luino/Magadino.
