The public swimming bath at Obervellach offers relaxation with indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna. For the adventurous, there are opportunities in the summer for rafting, canoeing, or canyoning. For nature lovers, the nearby National Park "Hohe Tauern” offers various visitor events.
Ankogel ski area or the Mölltal Glacier ski area can be reached by car in 30 minutes. Alternatively both ski areas can also be reached by ski but shuttle.
Lake Millstätter See is 30 km away, by car it takes 30 minutes to go there.

If you arrive by train, a shuttle service is available and can be booked, or also pick-up from the train station Mallnitz-Obervellach is possible on request For cars and motorcyclists, there is an hourly connection to the Gastein valley in Salzburg with the ÖBB car override train "Tauernschleuse".
