In 2020, the thatched roof house was painstakingly renovated. The house half (125 sqm) to the courtyard side is an idyll for vacation guests: sun-soaked, spacious and furnished with prepared old furniture to match the style of the house.
The heart of the house is the spacious dining area with solid board table and open, fully equipped kitchen. From here you go out to the courtyard square and into the garden. The living room with fireplace and adjoining bedroom (1x double bed) is also a feel-good place. Two more bedrooms (1x double bunk bed, 1x double bed) offer enough space for 6 people plus baby/toddler. The desk in the children's room is great for painting and crafting, but also for quiet work. A walk-in shower, underfloor heating and a washing machine for free use await in the stylish bathroom.
In front of the house entrance is the terrace with garden furniture and views over the entire grounds.
A playhouse with table kicker, ping-pong table, dart board and many other play opportunities are available for shared use. The spacious courtyard and garden can be used as desired and offers plenty of space to play, romp, relax, sunbathe, barbecue...
For dog owners there is a 25m mobile fence available, which can be set up in the garden depending on the place of stay.

The village of Markerup is characterized by thatched roof houses and rural idyllic charm.
Not far from the cottage, the hiking trails around the foundation country Winderatter See start. The village of Husby is 2 km away. It has all the necessities. The beautiful Fördestadt Flensburg is a 15-minute drive away and offers cultural, shopping and harbor experiences. In Langballigau and Westerholz (12 km) are the nearest swimming beaches with promenades and gastronomy.
