In the village you can rent a tennis court. The golf courses from Beziers and Cap dÁgde are close by. The horse rental is only a bike ride away. Nice biking tracks along the Canal dü Midi invite you to enjoy a long bike trip or do other sports. Especially dogs enjoy this natural area, as there is a separated beach for dogs as well. Fishing, night life, minigolf, trekking, cycling, horse back riding, swimming, sailing, surfing , diving, etc.
Holiday destination
Welcome to Portiragnes Plage in the South of France at the Mediterranean Sea. The village Portiragnes is surrounded by a vineyard and the "Canal du Midi", that is under a preservation order and invites you to a boat trip. There are light yellow sandy shores, lagoons and ponds with many wader birds. You can enjoy sports, such as (wind) surfing, fishing, biking or in-line skating. During summer, the little beach promenade offers restaurants, shops, shows, night clubs, a water chute, minigolf and a lot more. In the open country you will see Carmague horses. Within the nature reserve you can enjoy horse-back riding. Portiragnes is a naturally grown village without any multi-storey buildings and only few spots of concrete. Nature conservation is a main concern, which is very much appreciated by the holiday guests. The flora and fauna reminds of the Carmargue and is therefore affectionately called "Petite Carmargue" (little Carmargue). During winter, Portiragnes Plage is very relaxing and quiet. There are many cultural places and cities to visit. As our vacation home can be heated, so it is very comfortable and cosy, even in winter.

Wir, 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und ein Hund, waren rundum glücklich in diesem Ferienhaus und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Eine sehr saubere Anlage, der Strand und der Hundestrand sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar und auch der Radweg am Canal du Midi entlang macht Spaß. Frau Robert-Schwartz ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Für uns war lediglich das kleine Gefrierfach des Kühlschranks ungünstig. Da wir alle gerne Eis essen und dieses in Frankreich leider so teuer ist, haben wir immer gerne reichlich davon auf Lager. Das Gefrierfach erlaubt aber maximal nur eine Packung - das dürfte den meisten Menschen auch genügen! Die Familie Gognalons besitzt übrigends auch ein wunderschönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Stadthaus in Portiragne - ein Traum! Herzliche Grüße, Familie Dohmen

... die noch länger dauern wird. Wir waren zu dritt mit Hund dort und obwohl es das erste Mal war, wurden wir wie alte Bekannte empfangen. Noch nie haben wir uns so heimisch gefühlt. Die Vermieterin ist Deutsche, bietet Wellnessbehandlungen an, hat unseren Hund geheilt, uns toll bekocht und liebevoll betreut. Haus: die Bilder und Beschreibungen entsprechen absolut den Tatsachen. Strand: sauber, groß und ein Hundetraum Meer: sehr sauber keine Algen / Tang Umgebung: absolut erkundungswert, sowohl was die Bildung, das Fotografieren und Einkaufen als auch das Kulinarische betrifft. Die Leute: aufgeschlossen und locker Tipps: - In der Winzergenossenschaft gibt es tollen Wein ("Code"). - Zu Fuß erreichbare Lokale mit normalen Preisen! Übrigens: Wir haben schon den nächsten Urlaub hier gebucht...
