The villa 'La Cigale' is located in an absolutely quiet area of Boltenhagen, district Redewisch, on a plot of almost 3,000 sqm on the edge of a field with a distant view for kilometres over the slightly hilly Mecklenburg landscape. The peace and seclusion combined with the very large plot and the distant view make the villa a perfect destination for both a seaside and a country house holiday.
Villa 'La Cigale' has been awarded "Best Holiday Home in Boltenhagen" according to the certification of the German Tourism Association DTV from 2011 and 2015. It is the last house to be located directly on the forest and field and has a dreamlike kilometre-wide distant view at the end of a pure service road.
After entering the villa through the elegant entrance area, you are welcomed by the spacious, open-plan living/dining room of approx. 50 sqm with open fireplace, antiques, hi-fi system and an international library with extensive literature in German, English, French and Spanish. With a good book by the crackling fireplace and a glass of red wine from the in-house wine cellar, you will wish that the long winter evenings would never end. When the weather is nice, you also have a beautiful view over the large garden, the pool area and the wide landscape from your second living room, a terrace of approx. 60 sqm. In the kitchen you have enough space to prepare even more extensive menus. Furthermore, on the ground floor you will find a bathroom with experience shower, separate toilet, the wellness area with sauna and massage option and the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and separate wine fridge.
The villa has two spacious bedrooms, each equipped with an additional sitting area and TV, radio, alarm clock, with direct access to the southwest balcony. In addition, there is another bedroom with a separate office area and DSL access as well as telephone/fax for free landline connections within Germany. All you need to do is start your laptop and you can work undisturbed with a view of your holiday surroundings, if you need to. Furthermore, there are two combined bedrooms and playrooms for children in the converted attic. Due to the somewhat steep access, children staying there should be at least six years old. The little ones will find enough toys there, so that even a rainy day can be spent well. All bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard, lovingly and individually.
Another highlight of the villa is the exclusively equipped pool area (4 x 9 m) with loungers and shower. The pool is wonderfully nestled on the property. From almost the highest point of the 2,200 sqm property, you have a fantastic, kilometre-wide view. The heated pool is open from April to October and covered on cooler days. The heating is done in an ecologically exemplary way exclusively with solar thermal energy. Depending on the season, the water temperature ranges from approx. 22 to 30 degrees Celsius and invites you to complete relaxation and regeneration. Bathrobes (for a fee), pool loungers and towels are available for you upon arrival. In addition, the wellness area with sauna and experience shower awaits you.
Since 2021, we also offer our guests an in-house charging station at attractive conditions for their electrically powered car. Please contact us briefly before your arrival so that we can activate the facility for you. In order to have a fair cost sharing for all parties involved, an electricity consumption of 20 kwh per day is included in our prices. We will charge for any additional consumption that may arise due to the use of the charging station. You will find the costs for this in the ancillary costs section.

At the nearby Baltic Sea beach, you can go on extensive cycling and hiking tours above the steep coast. There are also several very attractive golf courses within a short drive. For those interested in culture, Redewisch is the ideal location, as from here you can visit Mecklenburg castles and manor houses, cultural festivals as well as the cosmopolitan cities of Berlin and Hamburg with their museums, monuments and shopping opportunities.
The villa ensemble is located in Boltenhagen-Redewisch, the 'very quiet, nature-loving neighbour' of Boltenhagen, which is equipped with the best tourist infrastructure. Redewisch, beautifully situated on the Baltic Sea and without through traffic, allows for a very close-to-nature holiday. The centre can be reached in a few minutes. The village is characterised by the beautifully restored Redewisch manor house with good gastronomy. The Baltic Sea beach is only a few minutes away.
The Baltic seaside resort of Boltenhagen is easy to reach by car. By car, take the Grevesmühlen exit of the A 20 motorway and you will reach the town in about 15 minutes. You can also reach Boltenhagen by train in about 15 km and the nearest airports Hamburg and Lübeck can be reached in about an hour. In Boltenhagen, you can rent bicycles at many places and thus easily make your holiday car-free in the village and the surrounding area.

Cancellation of the rental contract
1. IGW reserves the right to withdraw from the rental agreement in the event that the deposit, balance payment and security deposit agreed in the rental agreement are not received by the tenant in due time to the account of IGW (bank details according to the rental agreement). Furthermore, the lessor has the right to withdraw from the contract in the event that the rented property cannot be used for exceptional reasons (storm damage, etc.). Claims going beyond the reimbursement of the rental price (e.g. for damages) are excluded. 2.
2. The termination of the rental contract by the Hirer must be made in writing. In the event of cancellation, IGW will charge the Hirer a lump sum of 230 EUR to compensate for the additional expenses incurred. The renter is allowed to prove that IGW had costs for the processing of a lower amount. In addition, the Hirer must pay for the damage incurred by the Owner as a result of the cancellation. IGW will attempt to re-let the rental period. If the complete period is successfully re-let on the same terms as the cancelled agreement, the tenant will not incur any costs other than the cost of processing. If IGW is unsuccessful in re-letting all or part of the cancelled period, IGW will charge the Hirer a liquidated damages charge as follows. A damage lump sum of 30% of the rental amount will be charged if the tenant cancels the booking in the period after conclusion of the rental agreement up to 10 weeks before arrival. If the tenant cancels the booking in the period between 10 and 4 weeks before arrival, a damage lump sum of 60% of the rental amount will be charged. If the booking is cancelled within the period of 28 days up to the date of arrival, the Hirer is obliged to pay the full rental amount, less any own expenses saved by the Rental Firm (a flat rate of 5% of the rental amount). With IGW's consent, the Tenant may procure a replacement tenant who will assume the rights and obligations of the Tenancy Agreement. IGW recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance just in case.
