Not only because the sunburnt wood of the quaint façade reminds one of chocolate, but also because the interior of this farmhouse, built in 1871, surprises with an unexpected appearance:
A modern kitchen with high-quality equipment and an old wood-fired stove for heating and cooking. Solid wood furniture – new and typical for the region – in the bathrooms and bedrooms. Modern wooden and tiled floors and individual farmhouse furniture from bygone times. The overall appearance is bright and friendly. The small playground as well as the meadows and fields around the house are perfect for young holidaymakers on their discovery tours.
Situated in a secluded location, in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, the holiday home is only 10 km away from the High Society City of Kitzbühel, and the access to the ski resort is just 1 km away from the house. Thus, Jochberg is the perfect starting point for a quiet and relaxing holiday in the mountains of Tyrol. Mighty mountains like the famous Hahnenkamm, the Wurzhöhe, the big Rettenstein, the Zweitausender, the Pengelstein and the Geißstein surround this picturesque village in the valley.
Summer highlights like the heated forest open air pool, many themed hiking trails, the Farmers‘ Museum and the Sintersbach Waterfall as well as the Grander-water ice rink in winter are surely unique. Mountain bikers and Nordic walkers will also get what their heart desires.
Our tip: Kupferplatte Show Mine at the Pass Thurn Bundesstraße: the "Kupferplatte Show Mine" was created in the old adit in 1990. A mine train takes you 500 m into the adit. Perfect as alternative on rainy days.
