Hatzfeld lies in the typical low mountain range of the Upper Eder Valley. The highest peaks here rise to a height of 674 meters (sack pipe). You can always discover attractive perspectives in all seasons. Pass the time, for example, on a canoe tour or fishing. The city and the neighboring district of Waldeck-Frankenberg offer its visitors numerous leisure activities.

The Eder Dam and Waldeck Castle, 60 kilometers away, or Bad Berleburg, Marburg and Frankenberg are also worth a visit. There is also a lot on offer in the famous Winterberg winter sports area.
