We are near the historic D-Day landing beaches, and the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise - the first town in France to be liberated on the night of 6 june 1944. There are several museums dedicated to the events of the 6 june 1944 in the area as well as many historical sites to visit.
Holiday destination
Le Port Butor is in the Parc Regional de Marais et Cotentin, we are on the borders of the marsh itself with magnificent views across the surrounding marshlands. In winter the marshes are flooded and huge numbers of sea and other birds come to the marshes to feed. At all times of year there are splendid sunset across the marsh that you can enjoy from the terrace. You will enjoy peace and quiet and wonderful starry nights (weather permitting!) We are not far from some wonderful beaches .
