Use the perfect location for trips to the offshore island of Helgoland or to Neuwerk. Here you are spoiled for choice: take the ferry over and walk back through the mudflats? Or take a trip to the small island in a horse-drawn carriage. Alternatively, the nearby Duhner Heide nature reserve between Geest and Marsh offers a varied landscape with attractive hiking trails
