The Adambauerhütte is a cozy, lovingly renovated alpine hut located on the sunny side, in a quiet area amidst the beautiful Nock Mountains at an altitude of 1750m, in the holiday region of Lieser-Maltatal in Carinthia. If you're looking for peace and idyll, or simply want to unwind in the fresh mountain air, then the Adambauerhütte is the perfect place for you. It is the ideal spot for a relaxing, tranquil retreat in the mountains.
Surrounded by blooming alpine meadows, you'll enjoy a unique panoramic view of the mountains of the Ankogel group with the unforgettable sunset over the glacier of Hochalmspitze (3360m), also known as the "Tauern Queen".
The Adambauerhütte is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the gentle Nock Mountains, such as the Langenock, Stileck, Rabenkofel... and for the particularly well-trained, even up to the Plattennock and Rosennock (2440m).

During a drive along the 34 km long Nockalm Road, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and varied alpine roads, you will enjoy the true beauty of Carinthia and enrich your knowledge at the numerous free exhibitions. When visiting the Hohe Tauern National Park, by far the largest nature reserve in the entire Alpine region, you will experience, for example, at the Kölnbrein Dam, at 1,900m above sea level, the highest dam in Austria and one of the largest valley dams in Europe with the unique highlight, the "AIRWalk".
The approach to our alpine hut is via the Tauern motorway A10. In Gmünd in Kärnten, you leave the motorway and continue on the B99 towards Eisentratten. After the Eisentratten signpost, take the first turnoff to the right. After about 1km, turn left at the first junction towards Laggen. From there, a 9km mountain road leads to our alpine hut (6km of which is a gravel road).
