The "Eulenkasten" is situated in a quiet location with plenty of privacy and offers a fantastic view over the countryside. It might just be one of the most beautifully located farmhouses in Friesland. It's no coincidence that this Frisian "Stelpbauernhof" was nominated for the election as a municipal monument! The Eulenkasten is located a few kilometers outside of Lemmer, where you can find restaurants and enjoy the lively terraces.
The accommodation is suitable for 2 adults + 2 children and is equipped with all the comforts. From our tastefully decorated living room with underfloor heating and a wood-burning fireplace, you have a wonderful view of the rural surroundings with cows, sheep, and horses. You have at your disposal a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed (two single beds), and 2 additional sleeping places. Upon your arrival, the good beds are already made for you. The sleeping area is equipped with a comfortable shower and a fixed washbasin. The Eulenkasten has its own enclosed terrace with garden furniture; on the nearby field, you'll find a picnic table, a large trampoline, and a volleyball net.

The farmhouse is located near open water and in the midst of the Frisian lakes. The owner has 2 canoes that you may use after sufficient consultation. The area is great for fishing and cycling. The picturesque villages in the vicinity or the forests of Gaasterland are definitely worth a visit. In Lemmer, there are various shops and small beaches where you can enjoy yourself in the summer. In short, there is plenty to discover and do in the immediate area. A visit to one of the beautiful Frisian Elfsteden (Eleven Cities) is also recommended. Enjoy shopping in one of the beautiful old city centers on the “Zuiderzeeâ€
