We bought the cottage in 2018, and we've loved it ever since. We use it for family holidays ourselves. The West Coast and the North Sea really is something special - all year round!
NEW 120 KM BICYCLE PATH ready from early Spring 2024: you will be able to ride a bicycle undisturbed by traffic all the way around Ringkøbing Fjord (or just pop down to Nymindegab or up to Søndervig). You will ride on a nice, smooth, dedicated bicycle path - kept away from traffic at all times. This is a huge investment by the local municipality in order to make the Ringkøbing Fjord area one of Europe's top cycling destinations! The new asphalt bicycle path starts approx 150 meters from the cottage.

Only 500 meters from the sea and close to the fjord too.

The cottage is a traditional wooden cottage with a thatched roof (we had the roof completely renewed in 2019). It gives a very special feeling, and it also insulates very well from the cold as well as the summer heat.

We also recommend renting or bringing bicycles as there’s a great cycle trail ("Rute 1: Vestkystruten") running along the coast all the way from Nymindegab to Søndervig, completely free from cars.
Located on the southern stretch of the West Coast, Skodbjerge is where the dunes are highest. There is plenty of space and beautiful nature for walking, running, bicycling, wind and kite surfing, paddle boards etc.
The Skodbjerge beaches have smooth white sand and clean water - and sometimes big waves.
It is an advantage with a car for getting to our cottage, and to be able to get around in the area. The city of Hvide Sande is where you can go to shop, dine, or swim protected by the big pier.
The house is located on a big plot of land on the corner of Skodbovej and Sommervej (gravel roads). Just follow your gps :-)
