Child- and pet-friendly, comfortable private holiday home for 6 people available for rent.
Our house is located on a canal fed by the Ijsselmeer and is about a ten-minute walk from the beautiful sandy beach of the Ijsselmeer. The entire park is situated right on the Ijsselmeer.
With a view of the beautiful nature reserve, you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day on our XXL terrace, a small garden with a beautiful beach chair, a sunbathing lawn, and a boat dock (ATTENTION: swimming opportunity, angler's paradise, boating) invite you to relax.
For our "little ones" and "big ones," there is a large — accessible to all — play lawn in front of the house, which makes getting to know each other easy and fun.
But also for inline skaters — whether beginners or advanced — our quiet street as well as the entire park and its surroundings are simply ideal.
Pets are warmly welcome.
Our property is fenced, so your four-legged friends can freely enjoy the holiday at our house in the garden.
The park itself offers many leisure activities for the whole family: mini-golf; boats (electric and pedal boats), canoes, and even go-karts can be booked.
In our beautifully furnished house you will find:

At Beach Resort Makkum, you'll find two tennis courts, a mini-golf course, a fitness center, a large playing field for (ball) activities for both young and old, and three playgrounds.
A souvenir shop and play options are available at the entrance of the park in the reception area.
Available for rent are: bicycles, go-karts, and various boats, such as pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, and electric boats.
The nearby sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing and playing, with shallow waters that are also very suitable for small children and beginner surfers. Surfing lessons are offered on the beach.

Our holiday home is located on a quiet side street about five hundred meters from the sandy beach of the Ijsselmeer, right on a canal (swimming and fishing directly from our private jetty!). The XXL terrace offers a wonderful view of the nature reserve — a paradise for anglers, children, and pets!
A large, accessible playground right behind our house - integrated into the side street - is a welcome meeting point for "BIG" and "SMALL". The villa park "Makkumer Strand" is situated in the Dutch region of Friesland, right at the Afsluitdijk, which separates the Ijsselmeer and the North Sea.
Makkum itself is a beautiful, romantic, centuries-old fishing village in the municipality of Wunseradiel. You can still admire old fishing boats in the harbor, as well as the famous yacht harbor of Makkum.
The center of Makkum is about a fifteen-minute walk from the villa park. Beautiful nature reserves invite you to go walking or cycling. Our four-legged friends have also been considered: Right at the entrance to the villa park starts a nature reserve specially designed for dogs and their owners (off-leash is allowed for dogs there!!) with beautiful paths (with a view of the yacht harbor), several small dog beaches, and an old but well-preserved lookout tower with a view of the harbor exit from Makkum into the Ijsselmeer. Some benches in the nature reserve invite you to linger while your pets can frolic freely.
Makkum is known as a water sports paradise: sailing, surfing, motorboating; the Ijsselmeer itself is ideal for small children as it is very shallow over long distances. It also offers a beautiful sandy beach and a wonderful promenade.
Drive to Oberhausen, then take the A3 (NL A12) to Arnhem. From there, take the A50 towards Apeldoorn and continue via Kampen (the A50 is not yet fully completed but is quite passable), until you reach the motorway junction at Joure.
There, switch to the A7 towards Sneek, there's a break in the motorway at Sneek, and continue to the Makkum exit. Here, leave the motorway and head towards Makkum. Then go straight past Makkum towards De Holle Poarte. After about 1 km from the town, the holiday park Beach Resort is on the left-hand side.

Cancellation costs that would be incurred by you:
Cancellations from the booking date up to 6 weeks prior = 50% of the total price.
Cancellations from 6 weeks prior up to 1 day before or in case of no-show = 100% of the total price. The reasons for cancellation are irrelevant. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance. (e.g., ERV - Europäische Reiseversicherung AG -)
