The newly adapted accommodation with its own entrance encompasses the entire upper floor of approximately 55 square meters of our outbuilding. From the living room windows, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the river: Latschach bei Velden is situated directly on the Drau. On the ground floor, there is a covered outdoor seating area for your exclusive use. As hosts, we are immediately on hand if desired. We live in the house next door. The town center of Velden and Lake Wörthersee can be reached in 3-4 minutes by car.
There is 1 bedroom with a large double bed (sleeping area 2m x 2m). The shower room is not large, but it is freshly renovated and has a window. In the adjoining living-dining room, there is a new fully equipped kitchen (fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, egg cooker, etc.), so you won't have to miss out on anything during your holiday. On the comfortable sofas, 2 additional adults or children can sleep. (The sleeping area is approximately 80cm by 2m each. I can prepare these as single beds or as a double bed for you. The round dining table is sufficiently large for 4 people. A child's high chair can easily be added. A TV set is available and receives all common programs with about 40 channels. There is fast Wi-Fi. The living room faces the street and offers a beautiful view of the river. The bedroom is oriented towards the forest edge and is very quiet. The apartment has sloping ceilings, as can be seen in the photos. Pets are welcome. Our garden is 1100 square meters and fenced. Smoking in the apartment is expressly not desired. Ashtrays are of course available for smokers in the outdoor area.
If you're coming to us with small children, we're especially delighted as a family: High chairs, children's dishes, and cutlery are available for families with toddlers. Please let us know if we should set up a crib and whether you would prefer it to be in the bedroom or the living area. We know all too well how packed car trunks can get during family vacations. That's why we encourage you to contact us in advance: We can provide a Maxi Cosi stroller (with carrycot or sport seat) for walks or a child carrier backpack for hiking upon agreement, so your trunk doesn't have to burst at the seams. A Bobbycar, potty, or toilet seat for the little ones is no problem either. Just write to us about what would make traveling with (small) children easier for you, and we will try our best to assist.

A parking space for you is located in the courtyard directly in front of the accommodation. Additional parking can be found immediately along the roadside outside the property. Through the garden behind the house, you reach a viewing platform - right at the edge of the forest - with garden furniture and a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain peaks Mittagskogel (2145m), Dobratsch (2166m) & Gerlitzen (1909m), and of course, the Drau river. This viewing terrace can be used at any time. In the garden, there is also plenty of fun to be had sliding, climbing, and swinging. A brilliant swing right by the viewing platform has taught me one thing: adults don't swing enough. It's high time to change that. When was the last time you swung really high?

- in 5 minutes the Velden beach
- in 15 minutes the Bad Saag beach
- in 15 minutes the Faaker See or the Ossiacher See
- in 20 minutes the city of Villach
- in 30 minutes the state capital Klagenfurt
- in 35 minutes the city of Tarvis (Italy)
- in 20 minutes the Gerlitzen Alpe ski area (Kanzelbahn valley station)
- in 60 minutes the Nassfeld ski area
- in 15-30 minutes various golf courses
In the immediate vicinity, there are great walking paths. But the location is also optimal as a starting point for hiking tours, mountain tours, or bike rides through the Carinthian lake region.
Although there is a bus stop in the village, buses are far too infrequent. ;) Consequently, I ask you not to rely too much on public transport. Going without a car here is definitely not very easy, unless you feel very attached to your bicycle.
