The endless beach is ideal for long walks along the water admiring the scenery of the Apuan Alps where you can find many hiking paths.
Viareggio is about 20 km away and famous for its yacht harbour.
For a nice little walk the sea bridge of Marina di Massa is the perfect place. From here start the boat trips to the beautiful Cinque Terre.
Holiday destination
A curvy street goes up the hill and offers beautiful views over the sea and the mountains.
Forte dei Marmi is the most exclusive place along the coast and invites to luxury shopping. The wellknown market takes place on wednesday and sunday.
Casa del Grillo is an ideal starting point to visit the famous tuscan cities like Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Carrara, the city of white marble, is at 30 km and in the summer there are regular boat connections from Marina di Massa to the Cinque Terre.
Getting there
Take the motorway A1 and by Parma the motorway A12 direction La Spezia and drive till the sign La Spezia - Firenze/Livorno.
Further direction Firenze/Livorno until the exit Massa/Montignoso. Shortly after the exit drive right direction Mare/Marina di Massa until you come to a sea street after 1 km.
Here turn left and after exact 4,8 km turn left at the lights. Stay on this street (Viale Marina) until the big crossroad at Via Aurelia. Drive direction Berge and follow the street up the hill until you turn left direction Serra.
Follow the curvy, partly very tiny street and turn left into Via dei Fiori that leads downhill.

Das Haus ist wunderschön, wir würden sofort wiederkommen. Die Anfahrt ist etwas knifflig, aber die Aussicht ist toll. An der Ausstattung gibt es nichts zu meckern, die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum Spielen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen, der Blick zum Meer und in die Berge ist immer wieder ein Genuß - vor allem von der gemütlichen Terasse, auf der man schon am Morgen beim Frühstück die Sonne genießen kann.
Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, geräumig und enthält absolut alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Die beiden Besitzerinnen sind außerdem sehr herzlich und haben uns mit Obst und Kuchen und vielen hilfreichen Tipps verwöhnt. Die Buchung über Frau Cosima war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und haben unseren Aufenthalt im Casa del Grillo sehr genossen!
