Holiday destination
The holiday home is located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, just 1.8 km from the town of Malaucène. The impressive rock chain of the Dentelles de Montmirail is a highlight for mountain hikers and climbers, and the proximity to the Toulerenc Gorge offers a great natural experience for canyon hiking.
Two swimming lakes are situated near the house. It's only a few kilometers to the renowned wine-growing areas of the Côte du Rhône (Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau). You can find the classic French market atmosphere in all the nearby places from Malaucène to Carpentras. For a bit of city flair, Avignon is just 30 km away. Also close by are Orange and Vaison la Romaine (Roman excavation site and large amphitheater with an exciting cultural program).
Getting there
Take the exit for Bollène on the motorway towards Marseille. Then follow the signs to Vaison la Romaine. Pass through this town, following the signs for Mt. Ventoux or Malaucène.
Coming from the direction of Vaison la Romaine on the D 938: Just before Malaucene, at the end of a plane tree-lined avenue, turn right towards Suzette (D 90). Follow this road for 1.6 km. After a very sharp right turn, there is a left turn and then a short straight stretch; after that, turn left onto the first narrow road. After 300m to 400m at the first small crossroads (yellow signs indicate the hiking trails), you have reached your destination.

Wir haben wundervolle Tage als Freundesgruppe hier verbracht. Das Haus ist wunderschön mit riesigem Garten, blühenden Blumen, Wildkräutern, Obstbäumen und einer herrlich erfrischenden Außendusche. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet, auf der Terasse lässt sich wunderbar grillen. Das Haus ist stilvol eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Es lassen sich von hier aus schöne Wanderungen unternehmen und Malaucene lädt zum verweilen ein. Jederzeit wieder!

Malaucene ist eine wunderschöner Ort und das Haus und der Garten (bzw der verwunschene Hain mit Obst und Olivenbäumen) lädt zum entspannen ein während man die tollen weine der region geniesst, die man um die Ecke (staint amant/suzette zb) erstehen kann. Super ausstattung und tolles haus. Wer war der archritekt? Ich möchte auch hier in so einem Haus meinen Lebensabend beschliessen. Leider gibts keine 6 sterne.
