The former farmhouse from the 17th century has been converted by its owners into two semi-detached houses during comprehensive renovations, one half of which is available for holiday guests. The result is a successful mix of Tuscan ambiance and modern comfort, combined with tasteful furnishings true to the original style. The clever division of the spacious property of the farmhouse guarantees you as a guest privacy at all times and enough space for everyone to find their own personal retreat. The living space spread over 2 levels of about 210 m² offers a living room with a fireplace and Sky TV programming in all languages, a separate dining room with a large open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and 4 bedrooms. The free Wi-Fi internet access, air conditioning, and a washing and dishwasher complete the offer. The beautiful, private outdoor area with a total of 3 terraces, a garden, and the generous pool area with a swimming pool (approximately 12.5 m x 8.5 m, open weather-dependent from mid-March to mid-October), sunbathing lawn, outdoor shower, and separate whirlpool (heatable) is particularly noteworthy. From here, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the typical Tuscan landscape with its gentle vineyards and olive groves! The center of Montaione, about 4 km away, attracts with numerous shopping facilities, restaurants, and bars. A supermarket for larger purchases is also reachable in about 2.5 km. If the whirlpool and the unique panorama make it impossible to leave "Heaven on Earth," you still won't have to go without. In a small room between the two halves of the house, a large selection of the owners' homegrown products is always available, some for free, including seasonal vegetables and fruits as well as eggs. Also, homemade olive oils and wines (for a fee) are available. Nature lovers will get their money's worth here, as there are numerous possibilities to explore the beautiful and varied surroundings on hikes or with a mountain bike right from the house. For sports activities, there are 2 golf courses and a tennis court within 10 to 15 minutes. The house is also the perfect starting point for art and culture enthusiasts to discover Tuscany. San Gimignano with its medieval town center and world-famous towers can be reached in about 30 minutes. Florence, Siena, and Pisa are also only about 1 hour away by car. If you prefer to leave the car parked, you can start your city trips from the railway station of Castelfiorentino, about 15 kilometers away. Here, in the triangle between Siena, Florence, and Pisa, unique landscapes with postcard character and the typical Tuscan flair attract peace-seekers, nature lovers, and culture enthusiasts from all over the world. Due to its location in the heart of Tuscany, Montaione is considered the perfect starting point to discover the picturesque region and to undertake interesting and varied excursions. For example, you can comfortably reach the "City of Towers," San Gimignano, by car in just about 30 minutes. The historic center of the UNESCO World Heritage site shaped the image of romantic Tuscany like no other place and is especially famous for its family towers that dominate the cityscape, which were erected in the 14th century as a demonstration of power by the local patrician families. An absolute must for every Tuscany traveler is Florence - a true treasure trove of sights. The graceful city of Michelangelo's "David," Dante Alighieri, and the Medici can be reached from Montaione by car in about 1 hour or - from the railway station Castelfiorentino, located only about 15 km away - comfortably by train in about 40 minutes. Of course, the impressive cathedral, the central Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio and Michelangelo's David, as well as the Ponte Vecchio should be on everyone's program. However, the greatest jewel is the beautiful church of San Miniato al Monte, located high above the city, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence. Enjoying the sunset here in the evening is a unique experience! Those who prefer a more tranquil atmosphere but do not want to miss out on culture and sights will find Siena to be just right. The once proud city-state and Florence's greatest rival for supremacy in Tuscany still exudes the splendor of bygone days. The enchanting medieval old town is reachable from Montaione by car in just one hour and can today be described as one of the most beautiful places in all of Italy. Siena is especially famous for the Palio, perhaps the most famous and at the same time the toughest horse race in the world. Twice a year, on July 2nd and August 16th, the 17 districts of the city, also called Contrade, compete against each other on the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo in a fierce battle for glory and honor. Things are quieter, however, on the Piazza del Duomo, which houses the city's central cathedral. The cathedral, affectionately called the "Divine Beauty" ("la divina bellezza") by the city's inhabitants, is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and is particularly striking for its elaborately designed facade made of white, black, and pink marble.
