Explore the surroundings of the Kneipp and climatic health resort of Bad Wünnenberg on foot or by bike. Numerous well-signposted hiking trails and attractive cycle tours lead you through the fascinating landscape around the Aabachtalsperre dam, which attracts visitors with an animal park, a climbing park and a barefoot path. The spa gardens are also in the immediate vicinity. In winter, you can reach the Willingen ski area in around half an hour.
The Aabachsee lake (3 km), the outdoor pool with indoor pool in Bad Wünnenberg (6 km), Willingen (29 km), Winterberg (39 km), Brilon (15 km), Paderborn (30 km), the Ringelstein castle ruins and the Wewelsburg castle are all worthwhile excursion destinations.
