The city has a rich history and many cultural attractions, such as the Angeln steam railway, the museum harbor or the historic old town with pretty half-timbered houses, great shopping opportunities and restaurants. In summer there are many regional events in and around Kappeln such as the Herring Days and the harbor market.

The Baltic Sea resort of Olpenitz, located in the north-east of Schleswig-Holstein on the Schwansen peninsula near the charming town of Kappeln, is a first-class holiday destination in one of the most beautiful regions in Germany. On a site of over 150 hectares, once a naval base, a unique holiday resort was created with a variety of exceptional holiday homes and properties directly on the Baltic Sea.
The natural surroundings between the Schlei estuary and the Baltic Sea make the resort particularly attractive. Guests enjoy amenities such as their own private beach, which invites you to relax, play and swim. The gently sloping sandy beach offers plenty of space for relaxation and is ideal for children.
For everyday needs, there is a modern EDEKA market in the resort, which offers an extensive selection of groceries, household goods and regional specialties. A bakery integrated into the market supplies fresh baked goods and breakfast, while the bistro area with a view of the harbor invites you to linger over coffee, lunch or wine. In addition, an Italian restaurant with authentic cuisine enriches the culinary offering on the harbor promenade.
Active holidaymakers benefit from the bicycle rental service, which enables excursions along the Baltic Sea and Schlei. The southern part of the resort is home to a lovingly designed adventure golf course. There are small shops along the harbor promenade and at the harbor there is regularly fresh fish straight from the cutter as well as opportunities for canoe and boat rental.
Nearby is the Weidefelder beach with a dog beach, beer garden, playground and beach chair rental, which rounds off the maritime flair. Kappeln, an attractive town with around 9,000 inhabitants, is known for its tourist attractions, sights, restaurants and the cozy fishing harbor. Easily accessible by car or bicycle, Kappeln offers additional excursion options, for example with the Schlei paddle steamer "Schleiprincess" to the Schleimünde lighthouse.
The Ostseeresort Olpenitz is therefore the ideal place to escape everyday life and spend relaxing days right by the sea.

Über die A7 Richtung Flensburg, Abfahrt Rendsburg/Büdelsdorf, dann auf die B203 nach Kappeln abbiegen - vor der Brücke rechts nach Ellenberg abbiegen, der Ostseestraße bis zum Ostseeresort Olpenitz folgen.
Anreise aus dem Norden:
Über die A7 Richtung Hamburg fahren, Abfahrt Schleswig/Schuby nehmen, der B201 bis nach Kappeln folgen, die Schleibrücke überqueren, links nach Ellenberg abbiegen und die 1. rechts auf die Ostseestraße abbiegen, die zum Ostseeresort Olpenitz führt.

A linen package is included when booking for 2024 and includes bed linen, a bath towel, two hand towels, shower mats, tea towels, bathrobes and sauna towels. When booking for 2025, the linen package can be optionally added for an additional charge of €22.
Dogs (knee-high) are charged 10€ per night.
