Just the right place to enjoy a time-out in Bad Aussee!Already in the last century, artists, writers and people looking for time out in nature spent their summer and winter holidays in the inspiring Ausseerland.
Even then, people liked to settle down with local families and immerse themselves in the traditions and customs of Ausseerland.
This way of holidaying and travelling suits us as a family and once again meets the new zeitgeist.
We have used the last few months and spent many hours working on our parents' house ourselves and lovingly designed it for an Ausseerland getaway.
We offer our guests a cosy feel-good atmosphere with a personal Mautner Manufaktur touch on 130m², surrounded by a 400m² garden with herb beds and a nice barbecue area.
We have designed each of the four bedrooms with lovingly hand-printed details. The house has a cosy living room, a comfortable parlour adjoining grandma's kitchen, a small library and, last but not least, a finely assorted wine selection.
The Auszeit is centrally located, about a ten-minute walk or a sporty five-minute bike ride from the centre of Bad Aussee. Bicycles are available free of charge.
The town of Bad Aussee was named the traditional costume capital and offers a nice selection of family-run shops, chic cafés, traditional inns and restaurants, as well as a wide range of cultural venues and events. Those who want to do something good for themselves will find relaxation and a magnificent Dachstein panorama in the Narzissenbad spa not far from the golf course.
Altausseeinvites you to take literary walks, visit the historic salt mine and hike up the Loser in summer. Lake Altaussee, which literary figures in times gone by called the "Inkwell", provides a place to cool off in and around the crystal-clear water. In winter, skiers and ski tourers, as well as winter hikers, get their money's worth.
Grundlseeis home to the "Styrian Sea", as the locals affectionately call the largest lake in Styria, the Grundlsee. Water sports lovers will find their very special time out here, as this lake is surrounded by a magnificent panorama. In winter, the little ones and those returning to skiing will find perfect conditions in the small "Zloam" ski area, which, by the way, is also very popular with tobogganers.
Together with the Tauplitzalm, Bad Mitterndorf is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Ausseerland. The unique mountain lakes on the Tauplitz can be discovered along the hiking route 6 Seentour. In winter, the Tauplitz ski area offers around 43 kilometres of pistes, ranging from 850-1965 metres above sea level. This makes skiers' and winter sports enthusiasts' hearts beat faster.
Those who prefer endless expanses can strap on their cross-country skis and explore the magnificent landscape at the foot of the Grimming while skating, or cross-country skiing. After sporting activities, or simply to fill your energy stores, the Grimmingtherme invites you to relax.
