Holiday destination
Kempen has about 120 inhabitants and is located in the high valley of the Eggegebirge - southern Teutoburg Forest (350 m). You can reach the highest point, the Velmerstot (464 m), in about one hour. Particularly noteworthy is the quiet location of the place away from federal roads, but at the same time centrally located to the larger cities of Detmold (approx. 18km) and Paderborn (approx. 18km). A campsite and a tractor museum can also be found on site.

32805 Horn-Bad Meinberg Kempener Str. 20 Brief description: From the A30 (East/Netherlands) at the Osnabrück-Süd junction, continue in the direction of Paderborn/Kassel A 33 From the A 2 (West/Hannover) at the Bielefeld junction, continue in the direction of Paderborn/Kassel A 33 From the A 44 (east/Dortmund) or (south/Kassel) at the Wünnenberg-Haaren junction, continue in the direction of Paderborn/Bielefeld A 33 On the A 33 to the Paderborn-Elsen-Bad Lippspringe exit, turn onto the B 1 in the direction of Detmold/Hameln. Drive to just before Horn (about 22km), and turn left and left again in the direction of Altenbeken (follow the sign for the tractor museum). After approx. 7.2 km, take the Kempen exit, and continue to the 2nd house on the right.

Zusammen mit meiner Tochter habe ich hier eine schöne Woche verbracht. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt, konnten wieder neue Kraft tanken. Die Wohnung empfehlen wir auf jeden Fall weiter. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen von Frau Schäfers. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten muss man halt ein bisschen fahren, aber das empfanden wir nicht als schlimm oder störend. So hatte man hier in der Unterkunft einfach nur Ruhe und Erholung, da diese ein bisschen abgelegen liegt. Es war wirklich alles schön hier und wir kommen gerne wieder.
