The Landgrabental is something special for cyclists, walkers, bird watchers, "star watchers", riders, paddlers, cultural tourists - a thoroughly exhilarating holiday destination. Waterways & Attractions nearby are Peene, Datze & Landgraben for paddling, water castle Spantekow, "our" Castle Ruins & field stone church in Putzar, Landskron Castle, the Mueggenburg, the monastery ruins and the Faehrkrug in Stolpe, the historic rocket research center Peenemünde.
Neubrandenburg, Waren, the Müritz, the Müritz National Park, the Baltic Sea with the Szczecin Lagoon and the sunny island of Usedom, the Hanseatic cities, the island of Rügen, as well as Berlin, Potsdam and Szczecin are easily reachable by car and ideal for a day trip.
The nearest train station is Anklam in about 17km distance. Then take bus 226 to Putzlar (plan well because he drives rarely). Or via the A 20 to exit Neubrandenburg East - about 23 km away. From there it's all about the B 197 in the direction Kavelpaß, Friedland.
