The city exudes a joyful and fun atmosphere and appeals to both young and old. Shops and boutiques are plentiful, and the best place to head is the main pedestrian street of Calle San Miguel, where shops line up to sell you goods of all kinds.
The city is also bursting with color in summer, with over a thousand species of trees and flowers planted in and around the city's streets, squares and parks.
The old fishing district of El Bajondillo is at the end of Calle San Miguel, down a steep flight of stairs you will find excellent seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and downstairs is the El Bajondillo beach.
The Torremolinos seafront promenade extends to Benalmadena Marina and is a pleasant evening stroll, where you pass the old fishing village of La Carihuela.

Torremolinos has six beaches within its municipality, and all of them have clean golden sand and plenty of facilities, including restaurants and water sports. The 7 kilometer promenade that runs along the beaches is perfect for an evening stroll that will take you through the picturesque fishing village of La Carihuela to the Benalmadena Marina.
