The Sauerland hiking paradise on the doorstep, the Edersee region with excursion destinations nearby: Waldeck Castle, treetop route, Edersee Wild Animal Park, Kellerwald Nature Park. Picturesque old towns of Marburg with castle, Frankenberg with town hall, Bad Berleburd with castle and wisent park.
Our free standing holiday home with its large property is located directly in the nature reserve on the border of Westphalia/Hesse with a view of the village of Somplar. You can hike directly from the house or take off for the forest, in the evening it is only 5 minutes by foot to the "freshly tapped" in the pub or sit and contemplate by the open fire.
The tourist attractions of Hochsauerland/Waldeck-Frankeberg are fantastic.

Einige Gäste finden schon seit Jahren den Weg über die tausend Berge in die Grüne Lamper, im weitläufigen Flora-Fauna-Habitat der Medebacher Bucht. Entgegen seiner historischen Bedeutung Lamper=Landwehr, ist seit der Besiedelung durch Opa und Oma Finger im Jahr 1935, die Lamper ein willkommener Hort für Fremde und Gäste gewesen. Was mit der Fremdenpension in den Fünfziger Jahren begann, führen wir nun auch schon in 3. Generation, in Form der Ferienhausvermietung weiter.
