Bad Mitterndorf is nestled in a charming high valley (812 m), surrounded by forested mountain ridges and rocky ranges, at the southern end of the Salzkammergut region. It's a popular spa and holiday destination in both summer and winter, boasting excellent cross-country skiing and downhill ski areas, as well as the Grimming Therme. This health resort is distinguished by three natural healing factors: thermal water, healing mud, and a therapeutic climate. There are 30 km of marked, flat walking and cycling paths, lakes, and routes for mountain hikers and climbers. Graz and Salzburg are reachable within 90 minutes, while Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee, and Hallstatt can be reached in 30 minutes.
