Boutiques, nice galleries and special shops in the neighbourhood, e.g. more than 30 antique shops on Suarez-Straße close by, visit Charlottenburg Palace, the museum and the large park around it, another 6 museums almost opposite only about 5 -8 minutes walk away. 5 -8 minutes walk, big shopping tour on Wilmersdorfer Strasse, Kurfürstendamm stroll, boat trip with the excursion steamers on the Spree - either a big tour on the Charlottenburg bank or a small one through the government quarter, visit to the Zoological Garden/Aquarium, stroll through the Tiergarten Park with a visit to the Café am Neuen See - opposite, visit to the Victory Column with a possible climb to the top for a panoramic view!
A visit to the Museum Island and the Brandenburg Gate is also not to be missed!
In the middle of the oldest quarter of Charlottenburg, you live in your holiday flat in a historically beautiful Art Nouveau old building in the quiet and bright garden house.
Supermarkets - shops - bakers - and restaurants are on your doorstep, so to speak - you can walk to everything and reach them comfortably in 1-5 minutes - a nice shopping trolley is ready for you in the flat!
The area with the charming little side streets offers beautiful old buildings, old lanterns, lush trees, many restaurants partly with spacious gardens as for example on the wide, leafy Schloss Straße, which is contemplatively shady and very relaxing with many trees and benches on the wide promenade!
Bus 109 runs diagonally opposite in the direction of Kurfürstendamm, stopping at Charlottenburg S-Bahn station, where you can change and take the S-Bahn to Mitte. Across the street, the S-Bahn takes you to Grunewald - 2 stops - or to Strandbad Wannsee - 3 stops -.
Bus 109 continues all the way down Ku'damm and to Zoologischer Garten!
Furthermore, there are 2 different underground lines at your disposal - within 4-6 minutes walking distance.
Line 7 takes you directly to Kurfürstendamm (3 stops) and then on to Schöneberg and Kreuzberg without having to change trains. Line 2 takes you directly to Zoologischer Garten, Wittenbergplatz and also directly to Mitte, Potsdamer Platz and on to Prenzlauer Berg without having to change trains.

Parking spaces are always available free of charge and without parking limits in the small side streets, often directly in front of the front door, but I have not been coming to Berlin to my flat by car for a long time now, as the numerous public transport options here are simply too ideal and convenient!
You are also very close to the Spree with the wonderful green Spree meadows, which are ideal for walking, with the steamer landing stage to take a trip on the excursion boat on the Spree - you can also cycle wonderfully along the Spree meadows to the Tiergarten......
Furthermore, you can reach the magnificent Charlottenburg Palace with its splendid park within 10 minutes on foot - and the Schusterus Park with its museum and Villa Oppenheim is almost opposite my holiday flat.
Furthermore, you will find six more museums within walking distance of my flat - especially the Museum Berggrün you should visit, the swimming pool, many shops, department stores and supermarkets - all within 3-10 minutes walking distance!
There are also many charming cafés and several very good restaurants within walking distance.
Visit the nearby Lietzensee, about 15 minutes walk from my flat, there are extensive walking paths around the lake and a restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the beautiful expansive lake and trees!
In Alt-Charlottenburg, north of the Ku'damm, there really is still a lot of the elegant, middle-class flair of the glamorous district. Here you can feel the lifestyle of the new bohemia on every corner or you can even find traditional boules playing on Schloßstraße - that simply means a lot of urban quality of life.......
The West Berlin business and entertainment centre around Bahnhof Zoo is now very popular after several prestigious new openings such as the Bikini Berlin shopping and leisure area, various galleries, such as the worthwhile photo gallery in the Amerikahaus, etc., as well as restaurants and bars such as the Neni, the Monkey Bar and the Brasserie Lamazere!
Savignyplatz is also very interesting, famous for relaxed shopping in small, noble boutiques and culinary specialities for every taste - French and very refined in the "Lubitsch" in the beautiful Bleibtreustr. - Asian cuisine in Mr. Hai & Friends, tapas in Anda-Lucia, or "See and be seen" in the restaurant "Adnan" in Schlüterstraße. You can also enjoy the hustle and bustle around Savignyplatz in the evening and in trendy bars such as the jazz bar A-Train, Florian or Paris Bar.

Very uncomplicated: by plane or by train to Zoologischer Garten and then also by bus 109 almost to the front door - or take a taxi approx. 10 minutes drive - By car take the motorway to the Charlottenburg exit - then take Bismarckstr. to Kaiser - Friedrichstr. turn left.
Free public parking is often possible in front of the front door, or at least stop briefly, unload your luggage and then park in the side streets without charge and time limit!
As there are two underground stations - "Bismarck-Straße" and "Richard Wagner-Platz" - plus "Bus 109" close by (2-5 minutes walk), public transport is the best way to get there!
