Outdoor activities start literally on your doorstep. You have the option to take short or extensive hiking tours through the gorgeous landscape with its open spaces and wooded areas. The nearby picturesque town Blankenheim (3 km) invites you to take a stroll, enjoy the medieval flair and see the source of the tributary 'Ahr'.
Also recommended are excursions to the Eifel National Park, to the picturesque town Bad Münstereifel (with its new outlet mall), the bird of prey sanctuary in Hellental, the theme park Phantasialand, or to the fabulous city Cologne.
