Hiking in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, on the Traumschleifen trails and the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig steep path; excursions to Idar-Oberstein with its gemstone mine and copper mine, Trier, Bernkastel-Kues, Nahe, Moselle, Rhine. A modern outdoor pool in the village.
Holiday destination
The spa village of Schwollen with its mineral-rich springs at the heart of the Hunsrück-Hochwald. Extensive woods and an unspoilt landscape entice you to relax and recover from everyday life. The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig with its Traumschleifen hiking routes will get your heart pounding. The adjacent Zauberwald forest, the viewing tower in Hattgestein with the "Rothenburghütte" and the sub-tropical water park are worth a trip. The wildlife roams free in the Wildenburg open-air enclosure and the wildlife park Friesen; they are almost on your doorstep, as is the gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein. There is a small outdoor pool in the village.

Hele mooie accommodatie, ruimte genoeg en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Grote tuin. In de omgeving genoeg te zien en te doen. Qua restaurants is er in de buurt wat weinig keuze (als je niet van pizza houdt) maar dat is het enige kleine minpunt. De verhuurders zijn erg aardig en gastvrij. Extra attenties in de vorm van een fles wijn, zelfgemaakte jam etc. Op de laatste avond nog samen gegrild, erg gezellig en fijne vakantie gehad!

Wir haben eine Woche bei perfektem Wetter in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Umgebung ist perfekt für Wanderungen.
