Holiday destination
Castle Rock is located on a rock above the village of Schleusegrund. The property has a spacious outdoor area with its own access road and fascinates by wild nature, rocks, forest and meadow. The village is located in the green heart of the Thuringian Forest on the south-western slope of the Rennsteig and is one of the most attractive recreational areas of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Thuringian Forest. The large woodland area with numerous mountain meadows is covered by a very well signed network of paths where hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers and winter sports fans can enjoy the beautiful nature.

Via the A71 exit Ilmenau Ost and then onto the B88 via Gehren towards Neustadt am Rennsteig
Via the A73 exit Schleusingen and then via Ratscher in the direction of Waldau, Schönbrunn

Das Haus bietet für einen Familienurlaub alles, was man braucht. Alles ist neu renoviert, sauber und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind groß und hell, zweckmäßig ausgestattet und haben teilweise einen Balkon. Das Haus verfügt über mehrere Bäder. Die Gemeinschaftsräume snd ebenfalls großzügig und für Essen und Beisammnensein sehr gut geeignet. Die Küche enspricht allen Anforderungen, sie verfügt über zwei Spülmaschinen, so dass auch ein größerer Abwasch leicht bewältigt werden kann. Für Freizeitaktivitäten stehen auch ein Fußballkicker, ein Grill und eine Tischtennisplatte zur Verfügung, alles in hervorragender Qualität. Ein weiterer Vorzug ist die überdachte Terrasse. Im Ort steht ein wunderschön gelegenes Freibad zur Verfügung. Die Umgebung von Schönbrunn ist wunderschön und lädt zu Wanderungen ein.
