Burgerbrug is located 5 km from the seaside resort of Petten. If needed, bicycles can be rented for a fee when booking and will be ready at the accommodation.
The place is very small and quiet. Nearby there are plenty of fishing waters and the beach is just a few minutes away by bike.
Alkmaar, the cheese city, as well as the city of Schagen can be reached in 20 minutes.
Getting there
From Amsterdam, take the A9 towards Haarlem/Alkmaar. From Alkmaar, take the N9 towards Den Helder. After about 18 km, turn right at Burgervlotbrug over the Flottbrücke towards Burgerbrug. After about 2 km, at the intersection with Grote Sloot, take the first road on the left. After about 100 m, you will find the park Vogelvrij on the left.
