Holiday destination
The villa is located in Denneville-Plage, a perfect holiday location with a stunning huge beach right in front of Jersey island. The beach is always uncrowded even in the summer - Children dream location. The village has shops and a weekly market with fresh products. Lots of sites within easy driving distance including D Day beaches, Mt St. Michel, Bayeux and Cotentin peninsula. Many restaurant with excellent seafood such as the local oysters and lobsters.
Getting there
From Caen take the N13 to Cherbourg, turn off for Barneville Carteret just after Carentan (D971) then right towards La Haye Du Puits (D903). Stay on the D903 until you see a left for Denneville (D137) then go through Denneville-bourg and cross the main road towards Denneville-Plage. Turn left on the last street before the beach. Drive 450 m straight in Andre Pelca Street. We are at 49, white house on the left side with blue wooden panes and large spindle bushes on the front.

Das Highlight ist sicher der wunderschöne Strand keine 50 m entfernt. Wir haben uns als Familie super wohl gefühlt in Les Airelles. Die Austattung ist geschmackvoll und zweckmässig. Der Garten ist naturbelasssen und bietet einige Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Haus ist ideal für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub im Norden Frankreichs. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, sowohl telefonisch als auch vor Ort, hierfür nocheinmal ganz herzlichen Dank. Das Haus ist perfekt für 5 Personen, wir waren zu 6 und es war ok, da wir noch ein Klappbett in einem der Schlafzimmer aufgebaut hatten, mit 7 Personen könnte es etwas eng werden, da das Schlafsofa sonst das Wohnzimmer blokieren würde. Alles in allem ein toller Strandurlaub in einen dafür perfekt geeigneten Haus.

Inneneinrichtung vom Haus sehr geschmackvoll, etwas abgewohnter als auf den Fotos ersichtlich, aber das ist ja normal. Der Vermieter und seine Schweste waren wirklich sehr freundlich. Nahe Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nur in der Hauptsaison (am 4.7. hatten die Geschäfte in der Feriensiedlung immer noch nicht geöffnet). In Portbail, ca. 5 km entfernt aber sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Nur der Garten hat uns sehr enttäuscht, da wirklich von allen Seiten einsehbar, da täuschen die Fotos etwas. Für Gartenliebhaber und Leute, die Wert auf Privatsphäre legen nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen. Der Strand, der wirklich nur einen Katzensprung entfernt ist, ist sehr weitläufig und leer.
