Holiday destination
The house is located near Pescia, one of the 10 villages on the hills and outside of Aramo. There are several walking streets between the villages, but you can also drive and visit them by car. In Pescia you can see the very interesting 17th century cathedral. Montecatini Terme is one of the best known resorts in Italy, just 10 km far away. The Svizzera Pesciatina got its name at the end of the 18th century from Jean Charles Sismondi, who recalled the valley 'Valleriana' to his native Switzerland. Due to the many streams, the area was ideal for papermaking. Here was made the paper for the bills. There are only a few left today. The big factories are today near the highway entrance in Capannori (Lucca) In Pietrabuona, however, a paper museum commemorates the production on this hills. But there are also other museums: in San Quirico there is a museum about the life of the farmers and in Vellano the 'Museo storico etnografico del minatore e cavatore'. In Vellano there is still a quarry, the last in the province of Pistoia. For the hikers there are various hiking trails: there is a large circular route (but sometimes it goes over the road) to visit all 10 villages (10 Castella), which takes about 6 hours.

Das Ferienhaus mit diesem fantastischen Grundstück ist hervorragend geeignet zum Erholen und wie man heute so schön sagt zum "Entschleunigen". Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und besonders unser Hund hat dieses Grundstück jeden Tag aufs Neue erschnuppert. Der Pool war das Highlight. Die Vermietung war völlig unkompliziert. Wir können dieses Haus guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
