This cottage has a pleasant terrace, is surrounded by small streams and welcomes you for a pleasant stay in the Ardennes forest. Ideal for relaxing holidays with friends, family or your partner.

The most beautiful hiking routes start right in front of the door and there are plenty of attractions in the immediate vicinity. Pay a visit to the smallest city in the Ardennes (Durbuy) or have a look at Le Musée de la Chocolaterie Defroidmont. The Château Féodal de La Roche-en-Ardenne is worth a visit and the ski resort of the Ardennes is not far away either.

Made of wood and stone, the house breathes an authentic atmosphere. In winter, a beautiful fireplace will keep you warm after a walk in the countryside. The kitchen is well equipped and on the terrace you can enjoy a barbecue in the sun.

You will be warmly welcomed by the owner, whose house is on the same property.

Wunderschöne Umgebung mit einem Wald in der Nähe zum Spazierengehen mit unseren beiden Hunden.

Obwohl Hunde erlaubt sind, wurde nicht erwähnt, dass auch zwei streunende Ziegen und eine Hauskatze anwesend waren, die unseren 1-jährigen Teenagerhund völlig in die Wildnis trieben, da das Gelände nicht eingezäunt ist, konnten wir sie nicht freilassen.

Der Sohn des Besitzers wohnt offenbar in der Nähe des Ferienhauses (die Haustür ist direkt gegenüber) und auch ein Freund von ihm war im Ferienhaus, in einem separaten Wohnbereich, wo die Treppe hinaufgeht, unterwegs.
Das erfuhren wir bei der Ankunft, weil wir mit dem Sohn gesprochen hatten, als er abends von der Arbeit nach Hause kam, er war freundlich, es gab dafür keinen persönlichen Empfang, nur ein Papier am Fenster von Frau Dubois, dass es sich um die Gîte handelt Mit dem Schlüssel von innen öffnen.

Das Haus war angenehm, sauber und ordentlich.

Nach anderthalb Stunden kamen wir zurück und er war immer noch beschäftigt, also sprach mein Freund freundlich, aber korrekt mit ihm darüber.
Er blieb widerwillig stehen, woraufhin er für den Rest unseres Aufenthaltes schlecht gelaunt war und keine Möglichkeit mehr hatte, Hallo zu sagen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mit unseren Hunden genossen.
Sehr gemütlich, mitten im Wald.
