There are excellent cycling routes throughout the peninsula. Directly opposite the house there is a large playground with sandpit and cable car for kids.
Holiday destination
The holiday home in Tetenbuell is located in the middle of the peninsula Eiderstedt, in the middle of the national park Wattenmeer in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, world nature reserve and biosphere reserve of the UNESCO. The Wattenmeer protection station offers walks and other events in Westerhever and in St. Peter Ording. In Tönning, 11 km from the old school in Tetenbuell, you will find the "Multimar Wattforum" an information center for the national park, see and feel the wadden sea in the exhibition and in guided tours. From Tetenbüll it is just 5 km to the bathing spots "Tetenbüll Spieker" or "Evershop Siel" in about 6 km distance. Both bathing areas are popular but not overcrowded, for example if St. Peter Ording becomes too turbulent. If you like sandy beaches you will fancy St. Peter Ording in about 18 km distance.
Getting there
Coming on the B 202 from Tönung direction St. Peter Ording / Garding you drive into the village Katharinenheerd. Shortly after the sign, take the first right-hand exit towards Tetenbuell. As soon as you reach the village of Tetenbuell, follow the sign "Haus Peters" straight ahead. You pass the church (on the left) and there are parking spaces opposite the church. Here you can park safely, this is the "Old School Tetenbuell". Please use the large main entrance with the gable on the long side. Please do not use the small white garden gate.

Wir hatten mit 4 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern ein erholsames und ruhiges Wochenende. Die alte Schule hat viel Altbau-Charme und viel Platz. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Unsere Kinder hatten großen Spaß auf dem Spielplatz direkt gegenüber und im Haus verstecken zu spielen. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühit und die Kommunikation war total unkompliziert und ZUVorkommend. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter!

Die Alte Schule ist wirklich ein ganz besonderer Ort, wir waren begeistert von der Lage, Ruhe, Einrichtung und Ausstattung und diesem tollen Haus mit ganz viel Gemütlichkeit und Charakter. Die Kommunikation mit Ingo & Dagmar war Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen! ausgezeichnet und angenehm, im Vorfeld haben wir eine lange Liste an Tipps für die Umgebung erhalten- besser als jeder Reiseführer. :) Zur Begrüßung standen sogar frische Blumen auf dem Tisch - danke liebe Levke. Ganz herzlichen Dank, wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!
