On the west coast of the lovely West Frisian island of Ameland you'll find the 4-star hotel resort d'Amelander Kaap. The complex is in a lovely location near the dunes, beach, sea and at the edge of the picturesque and charming village of Hollum. From the Amelander Kaap you can take lovely walks and cycling tours throughout the island.
Ameland has much to offer: mudflat walks, skydiving, sailing, surfing, boat trips to seal colonies, fishing tours and much more.
Getting there
Getting here from Leer-Nieuweschans (border area)
Via the A7 to Groningen, take a turn at Europaplain in Groningen towards Winsum/Bedum and then stop in Aduard. Buitenpost, and then take the Dokkum junction. From Dokkum continue towards Holwerd –Ameland.
By taxi / bus:
Once you are on the island of Ameland, you can either take the bus or a taxi. These are available from the Nes terminal. Take the bus toward Hollum/Ballum and get out at Amelander Kaap.
By car:
From the ferry, turn left at the roundabout, and continue towards Hollum. In Hollum, cross the roundabout and take the next exit on the right, this is the car park of Amelander Kaap.
