Local sights: At 1861 m above sea level, the "Marterle" is Austria's highest situated pilgrimage church. The "Marterle" is the landmark of the municipality Rangersdorf. The stunning panoramic view over the Mölltal all the way to the Lienz Dolomites makes for a perfect backdrop for athletic holiday activities. Starting at the pilgrimage church, one can go mountain hiking for several hours to the top of the Leitenkopf (2449 m), Zellinkopf (2597 m) and Hohe Nase (2560 m).

Standing at 3798 metres tall, the Grossglockner is Austria's highest mountain. The distinctive peak belongs to the Glockner Group, a mountain range in the centre of the Upper Tauern, and is one of the most imposing peaks of the Eastern Alps.

By car:
Kärnten, Mölltal, B106, 9833 Rangersdorf, Witschdorf towards Marterle. During the summer, the 12-km long paved mountain road provides easy access. The remaining 50 metres consist of a surfaced dirt road.
By train:
In the summer you can also arrive by train, feeling relaxed, and we'll come and get you and your luggage at the train station.
In the winter, depending on the weather/snow conditions, we recommend a 4-wheel drive/SUV/winter equipment for your car. The lessor can arrange transportation upon request.
