Gemlenz is a small hamlet with 3 residential homes and surrounded by forests, meadows and fields, 450m above sea level (NHN) and about 7 km north-west of Kulmbach (see the labelled aerial photo). Due to its location at the foot of the Franconian Forest, Franconian Switzerland and the Fichtel Mountains are just a short drive away. Weather permitting, you'll be able to see the two highest mountains, the Fichtelberg (1051m) and the Ochsenkopf (1024m).

Wir waren zum 2. Mal hier und durften jetzt im zeitigen Frühjahr die Annehmlichkeiten des großen Wohnzimmers voll auskosten. Hier kommt jeder, der Ruhe und supernette Vermieter mag auf seine Kosten. Auch für unsere Enkel war die Zeit spannend. Man muss etwas mehr suchen, um in der Übergangszeit vom Winter auf den Sommer offene Freizeitmöglichkeiten für Kinder zu finden, aber es lohnt sich. Tags kann man die nähere Umgebung bis ca. 50 km erkunden und die Kids beschäftigen und Abends die Ruhe des Ortes und die Wärme des Kamins genießen. Das Haus ist top ausgestattet und Extrawünsche werden von den Gastgebern gern und unaufgeregt erfüllt. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wer die Ruhe im Urlaub sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ein grosszügiges Haus mit allem was man braucht, hat uns in Gemlenz erwartet. Die Gastgeber waren herzlich und wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Einfach eine Traumferienwohnung. P.S.: für den leckeren Apfelsaft würde ich gern noch einen Stern extra vergeben. LG eure Spreewälder Gerd und Jana
