The Villa Leuchtturm was renovated from 2017 to 2019, is very well maintained and has 3 bedrooms with double beds (180x200 cm / 160x200 cm / 140x200 cm) and 3 TVs as well as 1 bathroom with shower, bathtub, sink and toilet on the upper floor. A crib and stair gate are available free of charge. All mattresses are new and each bedroom has a different type.
On the ground floor there's the living room with sofa, armchair, TV, stereo, the well-equipped kitchen with gas stove, combination microwave/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, the adjoining dining area with high chair, the hallway with wardrobe and mirror, 1 separate guest toilet and a large storage room with washer/dryer and additional fridge-freezer.
The large terrace with wind protection, electric awning, garden furniture and barbecue as well as the beautiful 550 m² backyard located right on the water (canal) and its own jetty are perfect for grilling, relaxing and unwinding.
A Whaly 435 boat (no license required) is available on request (after instruction, from April to October).
A short walk (approx. 400 m (150 m in a straight line) through the park takes you to the beach and the Ijsselmeer.
Kiting, windsurfing, sailing, jet skiing, boating and canoeing, fishing and mini golf are just a few of the many popular leisure activities.
Villa Leuchtturm is equipped with 4 TVs with German TV channels and free WiFi. The rate includes final cleaning, bed linens, electricity, gas, water, washing machine, dryer, high chair, internet, heating, cot and stair gate. The beds will be ready on your arrival; the holiday home has energy label B.
When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the sun on the large terrace from late morning and also enjoy the sunset. The private jetty is located below the terrace, right on the property and is ideal for fishing, relaxing and boating.

The gorgeous, idyllic Frisian town of Makkum offers various amenities for your daily needs - supermarket, butcher, bakery, chemist, fishing shop, florist, bookstore, hairdresser, doctor, pharmacy, etc.
Shops, good restaurants, snack bars and charming cafes in the town itself and along the beach promenade finish off the list and there truly is something for every taste. Not far from the lock at the small harbour and opposite the shipyard there's a very popular fish stand - the "Kibbeling", for example, is very tasty and is a must-try. Between the beach resort and the beach promenade is the beautiful marina and "Beaufort" restaurant, which is very popular with us, guests as well as locals.
Within the holiday park itself you can rent, for example, electric boats, sloops, SUP's, canoes, bicycles, e-bikes and kettcars, play mini golf and there are 2 hard tennis courts (all for a fee), several children's playgrounds and a play area (Middelgronden) where you can enjoy various sporting activities such as basketball, soccer, volleyball etc.
In the main building you'll also find a souvenir shop, fitness studio, pool table, air hockey table and fresh bread.
Water sports enthusiasts will find Makkum and the surrounding area an absolute paradise for kiting, sailing, surfing, catamaran, jet skiing, boating etc.
How about, for example, a course at the nearby "NorthWest-Kiteboarding" kite school? The owner, Marcus Schluter, is originally from Germany and has lived in Makkum for many years. Highly recommended.
The cities of Sneek, Workum and Harlingen are also well worth seeing and simply a great place to experience the beauty of Friesland. Amsterdam can be reached by car in an hour or so via the final dike. Or how about a trip to the island of Texel?
Arriving via ARNHEM: A50 towards APELDOORN - ZWOLLE - N50 towards EMMELOORD/KAMPEN - A6 towards JOURE - A7 towards SNEEK/AMSTERDAM, then take exit 16 MAKKUM/WITMARSUM and turn left at the junction towards Makkum.

In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, 100% of the total amount will be charged.
No compensation will be paid if the rental period is terminated prematurely.
