Cancellation policy
If the lessee fails to pay the amount due by the specified deadline, the landlord has an extraordinary right to terminate the contract. In this case the lessee is not entitled to make any claims. The lessee is obligated to pay the landlord a flat rate damage compensation of 25% of the agreed upon rental price (without final cleaning and linen costs), unless the lessee can prove that no or only minimal damage occurred. There will be no refunds of payments made for cancellations not made by the landlord.

Holiday destination
Kilometres of sandy beaches in high maritime climate. Athletic types can go surfing, land sailing, cycling, Nordic walking or hiking.
North Sea climbing park, Gezeitenland or museum of local history, a view from the new lighthouse offer diversity. Numerous shops and restaurants round out the holiday experience.
In the evening you can enjoy the sunset in one of the cafes on the promenade.....and everything is within 5-10 minutes' walking distance.
Getting there
You can reach the island by car or train via Emden, by car via Eemshaven situated neal by Groningen in the Netherlands. There are plenty of parking spaces (fee based) at both harbours. Tickets and ferry times at www.ag-ems.de. From Borkum harbour you then take the island railway to the town centre and walk from there to the accommodation, or you can book a taxi in advance. If you are travelling by car, drive straight for approx. 6.5km towards the town centre and then turn right 200m after the Süderstrasse intersection onto the driveway of the Residenz-zum-Südstrand.

Wir waren für ein langes Wochenende auf der Insel und haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt - fast besser als zuhause. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Wohnung ist modern und gut durchgestaltet. Es gibt wenig Stehrümchen. Das Wlan läuft gut und stabil. Frau Begemann als Ansprechpartnerin hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen und war sehr hilfsbereit. Es gibt einen kostengünstigen Getränkeservice. Den Saunabereich haben wir nur besichtigt, aber auch dieser machte einen sehr einladenden Eindruck.
Fazit: Besser geht es nicht. Vielen Dank! Die Strände, die Fußgängerzone und Geschäfte sind schnell zu erreichen. Bei Aikes Kneipe in 200m Entfernung kann man gut einkehren.
Nur Borkum selbst hat noch deutliches Entwicklungspotential. Da sind andere Inseln schon deutlich weiter. Aber das kann ja noch werden....
