Holiday destination
The holiday home is just a few minutes' drive from the village of Poggio, surrounded by lush vegetation, very close to the well-known Natural Park of the Apuan Alps. Here, guests can go on long cycling and hiking tours on the numerous green paths. In the warm season, you can take a refreshing swim in the Edron River. The holiday home is also an ideal starting point for day trips to the well-known Tuscan art and culture cities in the area such as Florence, Pisa, Prato or Pistoia. The nearby historic town of Lucca is only a few kilometers away and the beaches of Forte Dei Marmi or Viareggio are not far away either. The next village with a mini market, bar and restaurant is approx. 3 km away, and the post office and bank are only 2 km away. The next larger town with a supermarket and other shops is about 10 km away. There are also a number of sporting activities all around: horseback riding, golf, tennis, fishing in the river and visiting the thermal baths are just a small selection of options.

Das Ferienhaus haben wir sehr sauber vorgefunden. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein Wohnzimmer ist nicht vorhanden, nur ein Zweisitzer und Sessel im Küchenbereich (sehr weich). Die Esszimmerstühle sind unbequem. Die Außenanlage ist super gut gestaltet. Großer Pool, konnte leider nicht genutzt werden, da während unseres Aufenthalts (Mitte September bis Anfang Oktober 2024) das Wetter eher kühl und regnerisch war. Die überdachte Terrasse und die Außenküche sind auch toll, allerdings musste man alles dort nicht vorhandene ums Haus herum nach unten tragen. Die Vermieter sind überaus nett und zuvorkommend.

Das Haus ist wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Ausflüge in die Region, nach Lucca, Pisa oder La Spezia sind aber zeitlich gut machbar. Die überdachte Terrasse mit der Außenküche (Kochplatten, Grill, Pizzaofen und Kühlschrank sind vorhanden) und der Pool sind ein Traum. Alle Zimmer (4 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder und Wohnzimmer mit Küche) sind mit festen Fliegengittern ausgestattet, was gerade im Sommer Gold wert ist. Was besonders hervorzuheben ist: Die Besitzer sind sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, z.B. als die Autobatterie kaputt ging, wurde ich zur Werkstatt gefahren, um eine neue zu kaufen und beim Einbau wurde auch geholfen. Auch sonst wird auf Kleinigkeiten geachtet, was auch den Top Zustand des Hauses widerspiegelt. Alles in allem eine tolle erholsame Woche im il Mulino.
